2011 Chevrolet Camaro: The Fun Continues
Middle East – The return of the legendary Chevrolet Camaro to Middle East roads last year was hailed by motoring aficionados across the region. Now, they have even more to look forward to as the beefed-up 2011 coupe hits the showrooms.
The 2011 Camaro V6 engine completed SAE certification testing and is now officially rated at 312 hp at 6500 rpm and 376 Nm of torque at 5100 rpm. This rating is eight horsepower higher than the previous year and also marks an increase in torque from the 2010 rating of 370 Nm. The 2011 Camaro SS is available in either six-speed automatic or six-speed manual transmissions. Both are coupled with 6.2L V8 engines that deliver 400 and 426hp respectively.
For 2011, head-up display becomes standard on SS packages, with Bluetooth standard on LT and SS. Synergy Green Metallic has been added to exterior colour options.
The 2011 enhancements remain true to the spirit of the Camaro, described by Luay Alshurafa , regional brand manager for Chevrolet in the Middle East, as: “A car that excels by almost every objective and subjective measure – design, power, handling, efficiency, comfort, convenience, safety, and most of all great value.”
