2011 Chevrolet Suburban: Forging Ahead In Its 76th year
- An iconic blend of high-end design, comfort and capability
- Precise driving experience
- Responds to driver and passenger needs
Middle East – After marking 75 years on the market in 2010 – making Suburban the oldest continuous nameplate in automotive history – the original SUV rolls into its 76th year with the same blend of spaciousness and capability that made it an icon that continues to appeal to drivers in the Middle East.
The Suburban provides a spacious interior, making passengers feel welcome and comfortable, and it boasts a bigger cargo area than any other vehicle in the segment. It is based on GM’s full-size SUV architecture, which features sleek exterior styling, a precise driving experience, and excellent interior refinement and quietness.
New features for 2011 include better quality wheels stronger for off-roading use, the addition of seat mounted side-impact airbags, and new colors: Green Metallic, Mocha Steel Metallic, and Ice Blue Metallic. A Vortec 5.3L V8 engine SFI FlexFuel with Active Fuel Management is standard on all models, as are new USB ports. In addition, a standard trailering package now includes integrated trailer brake controller.
“Drivers of the Suburban love its ability to respond to their needs, whether on the road for family trips or for off-road for adventures,” said Luay Alshurafa, regional brand manager of Chevrolet in the Middle East. The Suburban’s satisfying feeling stems from its stylish and elegant poise that still retains every sense of comfort, massive cargo space and protection via its maximum safety features.
